Job summary

Care First UK is seeking an experienced Registered Manager for a residential children’s home in West Sussex. The role may suit an accomplished Registered Manager or a Deputy Manager ready for progression, leading a dedicated care team to deliver outstanding support tailored to each child.

You will oversee day-to-day operations, safeguarding, compliance, and service quality, while managing budgets and building multi-agency partnerships to achieve positive outcomes for young people.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Children’s Residential Home.
• Registered Manager or aspiring Deputy Manager seeking progression.
• Strong knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
• Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
• Experience supporting children with complex emotional, behavioural, and mental health needs.
• Ability to collaborate with Local Authorities, Social Workers, and external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operation of the Children's Residential Home.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and Ofsted requirements.
• Recruit, supervise, and develop residential care staff.
• Drive quality, continuous improvement, and safeguarding.
• Prepare for Ofsted inspections and maintain records.
• Manage budgets and resources efficiently.
• Oversee care planning, risk management, and quality assurance.
• Build strong relationships with Local Authorities and families.
