Job summary

Priory is seeking a CQC Registered Manager for our Swerford home near Dover, Kent. You will have overall responsibility for the home, including budgets, quality, compliance, and delivering outstanding care to residents.

Lead and inspire the team, develop staff through training, ensure regulatory standards are met, and continually improve the services we provide, delivering person-centred care in a supportive community.

Qualifications

  • Level 5 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
  • Experience in a managerial role in a similar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory standards and quality assurance.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Flexible, with a can-do attitude and ability to inspire others.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the home with warmth, professionalism, and strong leadership.
  • Manage budgets, resources, and operational processes to maintain high standards.
  • Ensure the home meets all legal, statutory, and regulatory requirements, including CQC standards, health & safety, and licensing.
  • Oversee documentation, nursing records, and care plans, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Develop your team through training, motivation, and support for professional growth.
  • Innovate and continually improve the services we provide, delivering person-centred care.

Description

Swerford House is located in Temple Ewell in Dover, Kent. It offers residential support to up to six males who are autistic or have a learning disability. Our home is located semi-rurally on a private estate, at top of bank with magnificent views of the valley and local farm.

Our team are committed to empowering and encouraging the people we care for. We provide the support needed to enable individuals to reach their goals, develop their self-esteem and the skills they need to live as independently as possible.

What you'll be doing

As the CQC Registered Manager at Priory, you will take overall responsibility for the home, overseeing all areas including budgets, quality, compliance, and the delivery of outstanding care. You will support and inspire your team to ensure residents receive the highest standards of care, helping them achieve their goals, develop skills, gain confidence, and engage in meaningful activities within the community.

What you'll bring to the role
  • You must hold a Level 5 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent), or be working towards it
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
  • Previous experience in a managerial role within a similar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory standards and quality assurance.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Flexibility, a 'can-do' attitude, and the ability to inspire others.
