Job summary

Swerford House, Priory Group, is seeking a Registered Manager to take overall responsibility for the home in Temple Ewell, Dover. You will oversee budgets, quality, compliance, and delivery of outstanding care, guiding a dedicated team to help residents achieve goals and engage in community activities.

The role requires leadership experience in similar settings, a Level 5 Health & Social Care qualification, and strong knowledge of regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • Level 5 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).

  • Previous managerial experience in a similar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory standards and quality assurance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage budgets, resources, and operational processes to maintain high standards and achieve service success.
  • Ensure the home meets all legal, statutory, and regulatory requirements, including CQC standards, health & safety, and licensing.
  • Oversee documentation, nursing records, and care plans, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and best practice.
  • Develop your team through training, motivation, and support, promoting professional growth and high-quality care.

Description

Swerford House is located in Temple Ewell in Dover, Kent. It offers residential support to up to six males who are autistic or have a learning disability. Our home is located semi-rurally on a private estate, at top of bank with magnificent views of the valley and local farm.


Our team are committed to empowering and encouraging the people we care for. We provide the support needed to enable individuals to reach their goals, develop their self-esteem and the skills they need to live as independently as possible.



What you'll be doing

As the CQC Registered Manager at Priory, you will take overall responsibility for the home, overseeing all areas including budgets, quality, compliance, and the delivery of outstanding care. You will support and inspire your team to ensure residents receive the highest standards of care, helping them achieve their goals, develop skills, gain confidence, and engage in meaningful activities within the community.

What you'll bring to the role


  • You must hold a Level 5 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent), or be working towards it

  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care.

  • Previous experience in a managerial role within a similar environment.

  • Strong knowledge of regulatory standards and quality assurance.

  • Excellent organisational, communication, and decision-making skills.

  • Flexibility, a "can-do" attitude, and the ability to inspire others.
