Job summary

Skycare is seeking a registered nurse for our UK-based care home in East Sussex (Hove/Brighton area). This full-time role offers 44 hours per week across 12-hour shifts from 8am to 8pm, with pay between £20 and £22 per hour.

You will assess patient needs, develop and evaluate care plans under the Head Nurse, administer medications, and contribute to high standards of nursing care 24 hours a day. Ideal candidates have strong interpersonal skills, an NMC pin, and previous care home experience,

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the UK.
• Registered Nurse with an active NMC pin.
• Experience in a care home setting preferred.

Responsibilities

One year UK Registered Nurse experience is mandatory!

• Long shifts, 12-hour shifts, 8am-8pm
• Pay rate between £20-£22 per hour

Location: East Sussex, Hove, Brighton

This Care Home is located in Hove, East Sussex, just a short distance away from the coast, provides nursing and dementia care 24-hours a day - the care is personalised to each individual depending on their specific needs.

Nurse Job Role

To be responsible for the assessment of the care needs of patients and the development, implementation, and evaluation of care plans under the direction of the Head Nurse, thereby ensuring that a high standard of care is delivered.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining accurate, complete health care records and reports
• Administering medications to patients and monitoring them for side effects / reactions
• Prescribing assistive medical devices and related treatmentsSupervise, develop and teach other care team members
• Monitoring standards of care delivered to our residents
• Ensuring all Day staff on your shift contribute to the best of their ability to the efficient running of the Home
• Ensuring resident needs are being met by interacting with them, resolving any problems where appropriate
• Reporting any ill-health amongst residents and making requests for GP/Professional visits when needed
• Preparing, updating and evaluating Resident Care Plans
• General Nursing work and personal care as appropriate
• Attend relevant staff meetings
• Advising the Registered Care Manager of any incidents/accidents
• Ensuring there is a clear and concise handover at every shift

Essential Criteria

• Previous working experience within a similar position

Requirements

• The right to work in the UK
• An experienced Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN or RNLD). The service welcomes applications from all General Nurses, Mental Health Nurses and Learning Disability Nurses
• Registered with a valid NMC Pin and full eligibility to live and have right to work in the UK.
