A leading mental health service provider is seeking a part-time Home Based Community Registered Clinical Team Leader to lead the development of a new Autism assessment and intervention service. This role involves managing a remote MDT team, coordinating clinical responsibilities, and supporting patient assessments. Applicants must have HCPC or NMC registration and significant experience in neurodevelopmental services. The position requires occasional travel and offers a chance to work in various services as they develop.

We have an exciting opportunity within our Neurodevelopmental Services for a Clinical Team Lead who can support us with setting up and leading the development of our new Autism assessment and intervention service. Currently, most of these services are being delivered online but there maybe be a requirement to travel into the community too. Travel to the Northampton work base will also be required for attendance to team meetings and supervision. Successful candidates will have a clinical background and registration and have experience in leading and developing as service as well as leading and developing an MDT of skilled neurodevelopmental assessors.
Although our offices are based in Northampton, the post holder will be required to travel into the community so full driver’s licence is desirable.
Our Outpatients Services currently offer a range of services including, a busy private therapy clinic, an Expert Witness Service, Diagnostic Assessment Clinics (ADHD and ASD) and a Complex Treatment Service for Military Veterans. Whilst this is a full-time permanent role, there would be the opportunity for the successful candidate to potentially work in other services once the new service is up and running smoothly.
The role requires you to be a clinical professional with complementary skills; using your clinical expertise when working directly with patients, but mainly involving leadership responsibility for the day to day running of the MDT team. With the constant challenge of ensuring the wellbeing of a team that mainly work remotely.
You must be professionally registered (HCPC, NMC) and have extensive experience working within neurodevelopmental services to be considered for this opportunity. You will also need to be a highly skilled and competent assessor within these services (ADHD, ASD) too.
As the team lead you will be responsible for day-to-day coordination organising, prioritising and balancing a range of responsibilities across the whole team. As a clinician you will hold a case load and using your expertise to support the service and team. This role will work closely with the Clinical Lead for Neurodevelopmental services.
