Job summary

Esland is seeking a Registered Children's Home Manager for our Wakefield solo EBD home for ages 6–18, focusing on safe, nurturing care and regulatory compliance.

You will require Level 3/5 diplomas, with 2+ years in residential care and 12 months in a managerial role. Salary up to £55,000 with relocation support and benefits.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (essential).
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (highly desirable).
• A minimum 2 years in a position relevant to residential care of children (essential).
• A minimum of 12 months experience in a managerial/senior/team leader role within care.
• In depth knowledge of Ofsted regulations and other governing requirements (essential).

Responsibilities

• Lead one Wakefield solo service home for 6 to 18-year-olds with complex needs.
• Ensure high-quality care, safeguarding, and compliance with Regulation 28 and related guidance.
• Oversee operations, staff supervision, and residency standards.

Compensation: £48,000 - £55,000 / year

Salary: Up to £55,000 (DOE) + Bonus up to £8,500

Hours: full time, Monday to Friday (permanent contract)

Our Wakefield home is a solo service, offering a smaller, safe and nurturing place for 6 to 18-year-olds with complex behavioural, emotional, and social needs.
