Job summary

Delphi Care Solutions is recruiting for a Registered Children's Home Manager based in Birmingham. You will lead day-to-day operations, ensure trauma-informed, high-quality care, and drive Ofsted readiness in a safe, nurturing environment.

This role offers strong leadership autonomy, ongoing professional development, and a supportive senior network to help you deliver outstanding outcomes for children and young people every day.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years' experience within children's residential care.
• Experience managing or supervising staff.
• Strong understanding of Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
• Good knowledge of safeguarding legislation and SCCIF.
• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or willingness to achieve.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Managing the daily operation of the home.
• Leading, mentoring and developing staff.
• Ensuring safeguarding remains at the centre of practice.
• Maintaining compliance with Children's Homes Regulations and SCCIF requirements.
• Preparing for and managing Ofsted inspections.
• Managing budgets and resources effectively.
• Overseeing care planning, risk assessments and placement planning.
• Building strong relationships with local authorities, professionals and families.
• Driving continuous improvement and quality assurance.
• Participating in the management on-call rota.
