Job summary

Furze Hill House Care Home, part of the Pilgrims’ Friend Society, is seeking a Registered Care Manager to lead our 40-bed residential home near North Walsham. This full-time role involves managing care and hospitality teams, developing care plans, and safeguarding high-quality, Christian-ethos care.

You will oversee budgets, liaise with Head Office Finance, engage with church and community groups, and uphold our faith-driven mission.

Qualifications

• Management experience in a residential care home or similar setting.
• Qualification in Health & Social Care (Level 3 or above).
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• A passion for person-centred care and working with older people.
• Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
• IT proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook).
• Ability to manage workload and remain calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high-quality care in line with our policies and Christian values;
• Lead and manage the care and hospitality teams ensuring they are well-trained and motivated;
• Oversee the development and implementation of care plans
• Responsible for the home’s budget, in conjunction with the Head Office Finance Team. This includes local purchasing etc within budget limits;
• Manage complaints from residents, relatives and staff in accordance with Society policy;
• Engage with local church and community groups to maximise voluntary help and spiritual support available;
• Uphold the Christian ethos of the home through leadership and example.

We’re searching for a proactive and dedicated Registered Care Manager to lead our committed care team. Our amazing team at Furze Hill House Care Home provide a loving and caring environment for our residents, whilst maintaining the Christian ethos that is so important to them. Full-time, 40 hours per week, with occasional weekend, bank holiday, and on-call cover as required.
