Job summary

Furze Hill House in North Walsham seeks compassionate Care Assistants to join our devoted team, providing person-centred care and support for older residents 24/7.

We offer 35–42 hours per week, 2/3 weekends, with days or nights. Experience in care and dementia is essential; join a friendly team at this welcoming 40-bed home with opportunities for development and flexible working arrangements.

Qualifications

• Experience in providing care and an understanding of dementia is essential.
• You need to be well-organised, adaptable and practical.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high quality, professional service of care to residents.
• Help residents with personal cleanliness including baths.
• Support residents to eat and drink.
• Get to know residents to offer comfort and reassurance.
• Treat residents with dignity and respect.
• Encourage independence and community participation.
• Assist with tidying, cleaning, laundering and other domestic tasks.
• Work in a team and be willing to take on any task.

We are looking for compassionate and adaptable Care Assistants to join our friendly and dedicated Care Team at Furze Hill House, our residential care home for older people in North Walsham.

Our enthusiastic team provides high-quality care and support 24 hours a day, helping residents live with dignity, comfort and independence. As a Care Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in promoting the health and wellbeing of our residents through person-centred care and meaningful relationships.

Furze Hill House is a welcoming 40-bed residential care home offering permanent, respite and end-of-life care, including specialist support for people living with dementia. See our home here.

Responsibilities:

• Provide a high quality, professional service of care to our residents.
• Help a resident with personal cleanliness such as helping a resident with a bath.
• Support residents to eat and drink.
• Get to know residents so as to comfort, assist and give reassurance when needed.
• Treat others as individuals with unique and diverse needs.
• Treat our residents with dignity and respect.
• Support our residents to keep independent and healthy and encourage them to be part of the community within the home.
• Assist with tidying, cleaning, laundering and other domestic tasks when needed.
• You need to be someone who enjoys working with older people and can have an empathy with them;
• You need to be able to work in a team and be willing to take on any task to provide an excellent level of care to our clients; and
• You need to be well-organised, adaptable and practical.
• Experience in providing care and an understanding of dementia is essential.

Hours:

Full Time hours: 35-42 hours per week. 2/3 weekends
