Job summary
McCarthy & Stone, the UK's leading developer and manager of retirement communities, is seeking an experienced Registered Care Manager to lead a domiciliary care service across Leeds, Bradford and Sheffield. You will oversee a mobile team, ensure safe, person-centred care and maintain compliance with CQC standards.
The role requires Level 5 leadership qualifications, strong regulatory knowledge, and excellent communication. A driving licence and flexibility for weekends are essential.
Qualifications
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
- Previous experience as Registered Care Manager or Domiciliary Care Manager or similar leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding and compliance requirements.

- Experience of creating and updating care assessments, care planning, risk management

- Full UK driving licence
- Be available to work alternate weekends
- Be able to attend training sessions and staff meetings
- Be willing to undertake extra shifts to meet the needs of the service
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
As Registered Care Manager, you will oversee the delivery of domiciliary care services across multiple McCarthy & Stone developments in Leeds & Surrounding area. Leading a team of Care & Lifestyle Assistants and Field Care Supervisors, you'll ensure residents receive safe, compassionate, and personalised support that promotes independence and wellbeing.

- Build positive relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and local stakeholders
We're looking for a confident and commercially aware care professional who combines strong leadership skills with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional care.
- Proven experience managing domiciliary care services
- Strong understanding of CQC regulations and best practice
- Experience leading remote or geographically dispersed teams
- Excellent communication, organisation, and people management skills
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach
- Commercial awareness, including budget management and financial oversight
- A commitment to delivering outstanding resident experiences and high-quality care
- Salary up to £44,000 per annum, depending on experience
