Autism West Midlands, the leading provider of autism specialist services in the west midlands are currently recruiting for a Registered Care Manager to manage our 2 residential homes based in Selly Park and 1 residential home based in Marston Green.
The Poplars and Pinetrees are residential care homes supporting 5 and 3 adults respectively with autism and associated needs. They are homely environments that allow adults to thrive in life with a well established team of support that enable opportunities to learn and develop. Both of these homes are based in Selly Park and within walking distance of each other. You will be based from one of these homes for the majority of your working week.
Wagstaff Way is a residential home for 3 adults who live a full and varied life including attending college and holidaying abroad.
All 3 homes are rated CQC rated Good services. The management structure consists of 2 Deputy Managers and the Registered Manager. The successful candidate will be line managed by an Operations Manager.
This is an opportunity for an ambitious professional to lead and develop the services to achieve an ‘Outstanding’ within their next inspections. We are looking for a highly motivated candidate to develop a staff team and work alongside other professionals to develop innovative best practice.
As the Registered Care Manager you will:
We are looking to recruit a Registered Care Manager who possesses the commitment, experience and expertise to help us drive our services forward. As a specialist autism provider we are looking for someone with the knowledge and experience to support the delivery of excellent support and Autism practice within Poplars, Wagstaff and Pinetrees.
The successful candidate must have experience of managing/working in a residential environment with people with communication needs, including Autism. It is essential that you hold a level 4 qualification in a relevant field. You will have strong leadership skills with an ability to motivate and empower staff teams to deliver excellent support and work towards achieving agreed goals and outcomes. You will be someone who is experienced in managing a service in relation to budget control, reviewing and implementing processes, referrals and liaising with local authorities.
This role requires you to be an integral part of the management team working alongside key support functions such as the Operations Team, Behavioural Specialist, Finance, Marketing and HR team. Within the service, you have line management responsibility for an Assistant Manager. You will therefore be someone who is able to forge positive, professional working relationships with key stakeholders as well as take an active part in the delivery of the organisations operational plan and key objectives.
