Job summary

AXA UK is seeking a Regional Underwriting Manager to drive underwriting leadership and strategic direction across regional branches. You will support senior leadership, manage major client and broker engagements, and shape the evolution of our underwriting structure.

You will influence policy, governance, and performance, working with Director and CEO level partners, while overseeing training and quality controls in the region. Eligible to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Deep technical underwriting expertise across commercial classes and trade sectors.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and influence senior technical teams.
• Extensive knowledge of the insurance market, especially commercial lines, and broker relationships.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior technical expert within AXA Commercial regional business.
• Oversee regional referral process to meet financial targets and pricing strength.
• Contribute to setting and delivering the technical underwriting plan and strategy.
• Lead and shape underwriting philosophy through collaboration with leadership.
• Support audit, governance, and risk management processes.
