Job summary

Arch is seeking a Regional Underwriting Manager in the United Kingdom to lead audit, compliance, and underwriting strategy across a defined region. You will oversee case and portfolio management, drive data-informed decisions, and mentor a team of underwriters while collaborating with brokers and stakeholders.

The role emphasizes process improvement, budgeting involvement, and delivering strategic initiatives aligned with regulatory standards and business growth.

Qualifications

• Audit and compliance experience within insurance or financial services.
• Underwriting processes management including renewals, large/complex cases, and CAT accumulations.
• Strong data interpretation, reporting, and performance monitoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Audit and compliance oversight across branches and personal audits.
• Manage allocation, review and progression of underwriting cases and portfolios.
• Lead meetings, mentor underwriters, and support recruitment and development.
• Produce and analyse regular reports on rates, DA results, claims, loss ratios and indicators.
• Drive process improvements and support strategic projects with broker engagement.
