Job summary

Arch Europe Insurance Services Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking a Regional Underwriting Manager to provide strategic and technical underwriting direction across regional teams. You will oversee case and portfolio management, ensure audit and regulatory compliance, and develop underwriters under your remit.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years underwriting experience within insurance.
• Qualified or near-qualified in insurance with a governance background.
• Strong knowledge of audits, compliance, and portfolio management.

Responsibilities

• Audit and Compliance Oversight: coordinate audits, ensure action completion and regulatory compliance.
• Case and Portfolio Management: allocate, review, and progress underwriting cases incl. renewals and large/complex cases.
• Leadership and Collaboration: mentor underwriters, lead meetings, support recruitment, and foster team communication.
• Reporting and Performance Monitoring: produce reports on rates, results, and indicators; present to management.
• Process Improvement and Strategic Initiatives: drive improvements, assist with budgeting and broker engagement.
