Job summary

Arch Europe Insurance Services Ltd seeks a Regional Underwriting Manager to guide strategic and technical underwriting across multiple teams in a designated region. The role directs audit action plans, ensures regulatory compliance, and supports complex cases while steering regional growth initiatives.

The successful candidate will lead and mentor underwriters, manage portfolios including renewals and large cases, and partner with brokers to drive process improvements and data-driven decisions

Qualifications

• Proven experience in audit and compliance oversight across underwriting teams.
• Strong knowledge of underwriting processes, case and portfolio management, renewals and claims.
• Proficient in analysing performance data and producing management reports.
• Demonstrated leadership, mentorship, and recruitment support.
• Track record in driving process improvements and strategic projects.
• Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management abilities.
• Able to manage multiple priorities with strong organisational skills.
• Experience with budgeting and planning is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Audit and Compliance Oversight: coordinate audits and ensure regulatory standards are met.
• Case and Portfolio Management: allocate, review, and progress underwriting cases including large/complex ones.
• Leadership and Collaboration: mentor underwriters, lead meetings, support recruitment.
• Reporting and Performance Monitoring: produce rate and loss ratio analyses, prepare updates for management.
• Process Improvement: drive enhancements and participate in strategic initiatives.
