Job summary

Development Trusts Association Wales is seeking a Regional Support Officer in Mid Wales to provide direct support to community groups and social enterprises. Ideal candidates should have experience in the social and community business sector and speak fluent Cymraeg to build effective relationships.

The role offers the flexibility of remote, home-based work and requires a commitment of 21 to 28 hours per week. The successful candidate will help nurture connections within the community and ensure an excellent member experience.

Job description

Due to an internal promotion we are recruiting a Regional Support Officer in Mid Wales (Ceredigion and Powys) to join our Wales-wide team, providing direct support to eligible community groups and social enterprises through our membership services and programmes, and helping to nurture and connect the network of groups in each area.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and well-connected person who has direct experience of, and a passion for, the social and community business sector in Wales, and who has experience of running, developing and or supporting community groups and enterprises. We need a dynamic communicator who speaks fluent Cymraeg and can build relationships between groups and with key partners.

We want to hear from people with a variety of backgrounds and experiences who can contribute to a pan‑Wales team of Support Officers, supporting community groups, social enterprises and development trusts who are driving the change their communities need for a brighter future.

• Salary: £30,536 - £34,899 pa (FTE)
• Hours: 3 – 4 days per week (0.6 – 0.8 FTE), 21 – 28 hours per week
• Location: Remote, home-based
• Summary of Role: To support social enterprises and community groups through a range of direct interactions, resources, networking, and signposting, ensuring excellent member experience, retention and growth.
