Job summary

The Esland Group Ltd is seeking a Regional Support Manager in Westoning to lead and support Regional Registered Managers across residential settings.

This permanent, full-time role requires a strong track record in children's services, leadership, and Ofsted inspection outcomes, with the ability to travel between homes and drive service excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience managing a residential children’s home.
• Direct knowledge and experience of Ofsted inspections with a history of Good/Outstanding ratings.
• Excellent communication skills and initiative-taking approach to all tasks.
• Robust leadership skills and the ability to lead teams effectively.
• Holding the Level 5 Diploma is required (or equivalent).
• A full UK driving license and willingness to travel across our homes.

Responsibilities

• Support the Regional Manager with management of the Registered Managers within the designated region.
• Create and maintain quality services and long-term placements.
• Ensure homes with vacancies for Registered Managers operate smoothly and continuously.
• Manage budgets including staffing and maintenance resources.
• Oversee recruitment and training according to policy and legalisation.
• Ensure homes have appropriate resources and safe environments for children.
• Implement and follow Esland policies and procedures at all times.
• Personalise placement experiences through robust assessment and matching.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for a dynamic leader, someone who is tenacious and passionate with the ability to connect with those they meet and build meaningful and productive working relationships. We are looking for:

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Regional Manager with management of the Registered Managers within the designated region
• Creating and maintaining quality services and long-term placements
• Ensuring that any home with a vacancy for a Registered Manager is able to run smoothly and without disruption to deliver continuity of service and care
• Management of budgets – including staffing and maintenance resources
• Ensuring that staff are recruited and trained according to company policy and relevant legalisation
• Ensuring that the homes have the correct resources and environment in which children can develop
• Ensuring that all Esland policies and procedures are implemented and are followed at all times
• Ensuring that all young people experience a placement experience that is personalised to their particular needs, identified through a robust assessment system and placement matching
• Keeping effective records, monitoring progress and taking appropriate action to ensure service delivery
• Conducting staff evaluation & regular supervisions with Registered Managers
• Liaising with external support agencies
• Developing a Regional Development Plan and individual Personal Development Plans for all managers and ensuring their implementation
