Job summary

Compass Schools is seeking a Regional Speech and Language Therapist to support children across its educational and residential settings in the Kidderminster region. The post involves holistic SLT assessments, intervention planning, and multidisciplinary collaboration. A trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming approach is essential.

The role covers travel across the region, direct clinical work, staff consultation and opportunities for flexible/home working. Travel expenses are provided.

Qualifications

• HCPC-registered Speech & Language Therapist with recognised degree.
• Active RCSLT membership preferred.
• Valid UK driving licence required for regional travel.
• Experience in educational or residential settings is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct specialist, holistic SLT assessments using standardised/non-standardised tools.
• Develop and monitor intervention plans to improve communication, social interaction and participation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (education, care staff, OT, psychology) for EHCPs and care plans.
• Provide training and advice to parents, carers and staff to implement strategies.
• Maintain accurate, compliant clinical documentation and reports.
