Job summary

Colten Care is seeking an experienced Senior Peripatetic Speech & Language Therapist to join the Clinical Team. You will work from home and travel regularly across the South of England, assessing and planning interventions for children and young adults in specialist schools and homes.

The role focuses on autism and related needs, with a supportive clinical team, flexible development opportunities and a strong safeguarding framework within Outcomes First Group.

Qualifications

• Recognised Speech & Language Therapy degree.
• Valid and up to date HCPC Registration.
• Registered member of RCSLT.
• Post-qualification experience as a Therapist in educational, adult learning disability or complex needs settings.
• Experience with autism and related conditions, sensory processing difficulties, learning disabilities/difficulties and challenging behaviour.
• Ability to communicate complex information to client groups, carers and professionals.
• Advanced knowledge of models of service delivery.
• Good time management and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential (car allowance provided).

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment and plan intervention for a caseload of children and young adults in specialist schools and residential homes.
• Travel to required sites to undertake assessments and deliver services.
• Lead in providing specialist SLT assessment and intervention plans to support communication development.
• Work within a safeguarding-focused environment with a large clinical team.
