Job summary

Wates is delivering social value on HMP Gartree, a major custodial project that will shape local communities and employment opportunities. The Regional Social Value Manager will lead strategy development and ensure social value is embedded across the project lifecycle.

You will collaborate with operations, pre-construction, supply chain and local partners to maximise training, education and community engagement outcomes, with rigorous KPI reporting and TOMs alignment.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering social value or ESG in construction/public sector.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
• Experience monitoring and reporting against social value targets.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with clients and partners.
• Strong organisation and project management.

Responsibilities

• Leading the social value strategy for the Gartree Prison project.
• Creating and implementing project-specific social value plans aligned to client and business objectives.
• Managing and reporting against social value KPIs, TOMs and contractual requirements.
• Building relationships with local authorities, education providers, charities, community groups and employment agencies.
• Supporting work-winning activity through compelling social value proposals and case studies.
• Working with project teams and supply chain partners to maximise employment, training and community opportunities.
• Producing performance reports and impact evidence for clients and stakeholders.
• Championing social value best practice across the project and wider region.
• Supporting communications and PR activity showcasing positive impact.
