Purpose of the role –

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Regional Retail Training and Performance Manager who will be responsible to build retail capability and drive performance within the UK. Through consistent planning and execution, they will ensure all retail employees are trained and developed to deliver the highest standard of retail practices and processes, resulting in exceptional customer experience and strong retail results.

This role will be responsible for the development and coaching of their direct reports and portfolio of stores in the UK.

This is a hybrid, full-time position, based in London, however the successful candidate will be required to be flexible to travel, working across Retail and training spaces with possible weekends and evenings, business dependent.

Key responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to –

  • Strong background in facilitation and coaching: with exceptional skills of delivering content in a workshop / classroom environment

  • Proven ability in coaching and developing retail teams on the sales floor

  • Accomplished at team building, motivation and development

  • Background in a customer and sales focused environment

  • Proven ability to analyze performance and take appropriate responsive actions

  • Track record of strong relationship management and collaboration

  • Ability to problem solve and make decisions within business boundaries

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent commercial and people management acumen

Who we are looking for –

  • Retail Business Manager / Cluster / Area management experience ideally gained within a retail environment

  • Strong ability to drive business strategy and align with key business goals

  • Excellent organisational skills and a demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage varying stakeholder requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in the cultivation and enhancement of the customer experience in a retail environment

  • Ability to build high-performance direct reports through consistent training, coaching, feedback and performance recovery

  • Ability to build relationships and manage stakeholder expectations

  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to be flexible with retail trading hours and work weekends and evenings when needed

  • Demonstrated experience in leading/ managing discussions that centre on performance improvement and/or performance management

  • Ability to drive the launches and embedding of new products and services through continuous presence and active participation in their portfolio of stores and region

  • Demonstrates consistency in training and coaching retail teams in store and through workshops to bring to life the customer experience
