Job summary

COREcruitment are partnering with a leading facilities management and commercial refrigeration contractor to appoint a Refrigeration Engineer Manager. You will lead a team of engineers across a multi-site retail and industrial portfolio, combining technical oversight with people leadership and client-facing responsibilities.

You will drive safety, quality, and continuous improvement while developing the team.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in FM/retail/industrial refrigeration environments.
• Track record of managing multi-site engineering teams.
• Strong client-facing communication skills.
• Demonstrated focus on safety, quality and performance.
• Familiarity with CMMS/FM platforms for tracking works and KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of refrigeration engineers and senior technicians across multiple sites.
• Oversee PPM, reactive breakdowns, and projects on commercial/industrial refrigeration systems.
• Ensure compliance with F-Gas, H&S, PSM, and client standards and audits.
• Manage workload planning, call-out rotas, and on-call cover to meet SLAs and KPIs.
• Drive first-time fix rates and system uptime through root cause analysis.
