Job summary

Leaders in Care seeks an experienced Regional Quality Nurse to oversee Yorkshire and surrounding areas, driving clinical quality and regulatory compliance across multiple homes. You will work with Home Managers and senior teams to identify risks and strengthen standards, ensuring safe, compassionate, person‑centred care.

The role focuses on quality governance, audits, and continuous improvement, promoting best practice in infection control, safeguarding, and dementia care.

Qualifications

• Current NMC registration and substantial post-registration experience.
• Experience of clinical governance, quality assurance, auditing and service improvement.
• Strong written skills including audit reports and quality updates.
• Ability to interpret quality and clinical data, identify themes and communicate recommendations clearly.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and responsive quality audits across care homes.
• Review care plans, risk assessments, medication practices and clinical documentation.
• Identify areas of risk, analyse trends and produce practical recommendations.
• Support Home Managers to develop, implement and monitor improvement action plans.
• Provide clinical guidance and hands‑on coaching to managers and care teams.
• Support services before, during and after regulatory inspections, including CQC.
• Promote best practice in medication management, safeguarding, infection prevention and control, dementia care and long‑term condition management.
