Job summary

Howdens Joinery is expanding its Trade Property team and recruiting two Assistant Property Managers to support a large, diverse depot portfolio across the UK. You will work closely with experienced Property Managers, assisting with day-to-day estate management and ensuring lease compliance, service charges and NNDR considerations are managed effectively.

Roles cover the Northwest region around Liverpool and Manchester and the Midlands around Northamptonshire, with travel between sites and a full

Qualifications

• Must have experience in property, estate management or commercial property environments.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build relationships with landlords, agents and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective day-to-day estate management and support.
• Liaise with landlords, managing agents, tenants, solicitors, surveyors and third parties to minimise outgoings and ensure effective estate management.
• Be the point of liaison between the portfolio’s landlords and the Trade Division and provide support to all areas of the business on technical, legal and estate management matters.
• Handle licences for alterations to leasehold documentation to ensure lease compliance.
• Assess and monitor service charges to minimise financial liabilities.
• Investigate property rating valuations to protect NNDR liabilities.
• Assist with disposal of trade property surplus to requirements to mitigate costs.
• Maintain database records with accurate management information.
