Job summary

PSD Group is seeking a Regional Building / Property Manager to own a portfolio across the East Midlands in a client-side, field-based capacity. The role focuses on building condition, maintenance, improvements and capital investment across the estate.

You’ll work with operational teams and senior stakeholders to identify requirements, develop solutions and manage works through to completion, covering maintenance, capital projects, refurbishment, compliance and contractor management.

Qualifications

• Experience managing buildings or projects within a commercial property environment.
• MRICS or MCIOB is advantageous but not essential; support for professional development offered.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of building condition and maintenance across the regional portfolio.
• Identify defects, maintenance requirements and opportunities for improvement.
• Manage capital projects, refurbishment and significant maintenance works from inception to completion.
• Develop scopes, specifications, budgets and programmes.
• Manage contractors and consultants, ensuring quality, cost and programme are maintained.
• Oversee planned and preventative maintenance programmes.
• Provide technical and commercially focused property advice to the business.
• Manage budgets and report on expenditure and future requirements.
• Support compliance and ensure the estate remains safe, well maintained and fit for purpose.

Regional Building / Property Manager – East Midlands

Location: East Midlands | Client-Side / Field-Based

Salary: Competitive salary + car allowance + bonus + benefits

The Opportunity

A successful and growing out-of-town retail business is looking to appoint a Regional Building / Property Manager to take ownership of a portfolio across the East Midlands.

This is a genuinely client-side role, giving you responsibility for the condition, maintenance, improvement and capital investment of the estate.

You’ll work closely with operational teams and senior stakeholders, identifying requirements, developing solutions and managing works through to completion. It’s a varied role covering building maintenance, capital projects, refurbishment, compliance and contractor management.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of building condition and maintenance across the regional portfolio.
• Identify defects, maintenance requirements and opportunities for improvement.
• Manage capital projects, refurbishment and significant maintenance works from inception to completion.
• Develop scopes, specifications, budgets and programmes.
• Manage contractors and consultants, ensuring quality, cost and programme are maintained.
• Oversee planned and preventative maintenance programmes.
• Provide technical and commercially focused property advice to the business.
• Manage budgets and report on expenditure and future requirements.

• Build strong relationships with operational teams, contractors and key stakeholders.

About You

You could be a Building Surveyor, Property Surveyor, Property Manager, Maintenance Surveyor or Project Manager with strong technical knowledge.

You'll ideally have:

• Experience managing buildings, maintenance or projects within a commercial property environment.
• Good knowledge of building fabric, defects and refurbishment.
• Experience managing contractors and budgets.
• Strong organisational and commercial skills.
• A proactive, hands-on approach and the confidence to take ownership.
• A full UK driving licence.

MRICS or MCIOB is advantageous but not essential. Importantly, the business is happy to provide support and development towards achieving MRICS or MCIOB for the right individual.
