Job summary

British Heart Foundation seeks a PR & Media Manager to cover the Midlands and North of England on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will raise the profile of BHF across research, campaigning and fundraising through regional media, digital channels, and partnerships.

You’ll work with local teams to craft impactful communications, meet KPIs, and support Heart Month 2027, Heart Hero Awards, and trekking events, while traveling UK-wide as needed.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of the Midlands and North England media landscape.
• Experience finding and developing stories for media.
• Proven track record delivering successful communications campaigns.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presenting skills.
• Ability to translate complex information into consumer-friendly messages.

Responsibilities

• Deliver regional media activity for BHF’s campaigns and brand visibility.
• Plan and deliver regional media activity to support Heart Month 2027.
• Promote and deliver Heart Hero Awards 2027 and trekking events.
• Collaborate with UK-wide media team to shape PR strategies.
• Travel across the UK and contribute to high-impact communications.
