Job summary

SP Energy Networks in Birkenhead is seeking a Regional Planning Lead to oversee planning for the SPM region and drive improvements in scheduling and governance. You will lead a team of Planners, coordinate with Project Unit Managers, and ensure accurate forecasting and reporting of the 132kV programme within the RIIO framework.

Qualifications

• Engineering/Planning degree or equivalent.
• Experience programming electrical infrastructure projects.
• Project management methodology experience or qualifications.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and reporting.
• Extensive P6/MSP experience and QA processes.
• Awareness of NEC, D&C and FIDIC contracts.
• Health, safety and environmental legislation (CDM).
• Effective team management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of Planners and ensure accurate reporting of project progress and forecasting metrics.
• Coordinate with Project Unit Managers to manage milestones, baselines and performance.
• Engage with PMO, Design, Project, Construction, Quality, Environmental, System Design and Control Room teams to ensure updated programmes.
• Drive continuous improvement by implementing planning reviews and lessons learned across the portfolio.
