EQUANS is seeking a Regional Operations Manager with a strong technical background in Building Management Systems to join our Digital Services, based from our Newcastle office, overseeing sites across Northern England. You will lead BMS engineers, subcontractors and ensure high-quality service in line with SLAs.

You will manage contracts from £1m to £3m, drive improvements, maintain safety/compliance, and contribute to the growth strategy within a dynamic, tech-focused team.

Qualifications

• Degree-level education or qualified and experienced trade (electrotechnical).
• Experience managing self-delivered and subcontracted BMS services at large scale.
• Thorough knowledge of BMS systems and HVAC/M&E.
• P&L responsibility with a track record of success.

Responsabilités

• Overall responsibility for digital service provision across all sites in the portfolio.
• Day-to-day management of 15–20 BMS engineers and service partners.
• Regular contract reviews with customers and senior clients; upsell where possible.
• Ensure SLAs are met and KPIs tracked; manage safety and compliance.

Equans is looking for a Regional Operations Manager with a strong technical background with Building Management Systems (BMS) to join our Digital business, based from our office in Newcastle with the objective to support sites across parts of Northern England.At Equans Digital, we aren’t just upgrading Building Management Systems; we’recollaboratingwith the UK’s commercial and public sectors to build a 'Smart Enabled' future.Supported by anambitious5-year growth strategy and projects ranging up to £1.5m, we are looking for ateam to help us grow sustainably.Role overviewThis Regional Contracts Manager role sits within Digital Services (Digital & Energy) and is responsible for all elements of BMS and digital service within their portfolio. This role is there to ensure our teams are managed efficiently to provide an effective and high-quality technical service to customers and Equans colleagues. Our Managers continually review team performance, contracts, growth opportunities & innovation while ensuring customer satisfaction in line with SLAs. Key activities

Responsibility for digital service provision across all sites in their portfolioDay to Day Management of BMS Service Engineers and Service Partners (approx. 15-20 persons)Managing specialist subcontractors Regular contract reviews with customers and senior clients, upselling services where possibleExcellent commercial acumen, understanding of KPIs & strong history of successfully delivery contractsTechnical, Finance, Commercial understanding and awarenessOperational delivery of contract KPI’s – meeting SLAsManagement of statutory, legal, safety and contract compliance standards Stakeholder engagement and liaising with PMOP&L responsibility between £1m - £3m Travelling to all sites in the portfolio to undertake service reviews, safety visits and meet teamsEnsuring engineers work efficiently, that tasks are planned efficiently to balance all work types while meeting SLAs for attendanceEnsuring our teams meet the required training and operational quality standardsCompliance with financial processes and meeting budget targetsSetting and reviewing team objectives to ensure teams are aligned to company strategic goalsActively participates in securing new growth opportunities and secures new contracts in line with targets

Skills, qualifications & experience

Degree level education, or, Qualified and experienced trade (electrotechnical)Relevant, evidencable work experience to a similar levelMust be able to obtain and retain SC/CTC clearanceExperience of managing self-delivered and subcontracted BMS services on a large scaleThorough working knowledge of the BMS industry and systems our teams may encounter (ie, Trend, Tridium, Siemens etc)Excellent knowledge of HVAC plant and other M&E systemsExperience within a variety of contract environmentsP&L Responsibility with a track record of successStrong client focus and clear, concise communicationskillsExcellent commercial acumen, understanding of KPIs & strong history of successfully delivery contracts in financial termsAbility to work collaboratively and flexibly with the team, clients, support functions and other departments to optimise service levelsWorking knowledge of CAFM/Other Systems
