Job summary

Fawkes & Reece Group in Sheffield is seeking an Operations Director to lead the Northern region, overseeing delivery across multiple projects and ensuring safety, quality and on-time performance.

This six-month contract offers umbrella pay, a day rate of £450–£640, and potential progression to a permanent role; reporting to the Regional Director and coordinating with pre-construction and BD teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Operations Director or Manager.
• Gold or Black CSCS Card required.
• SMSTS qualification held.
• Basic DBS clearance (must be completed before start).
• Valid driving licence required.
• Contract work paid on a day-rate basis.
• Weekly pay on a Friday.

Responsibilities

• Manage delivery of regional projects across clients and frameworks.
• Develop strong client relationships and identify growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with regional SMT to uphold safety, health and inclusivity standards.
• Lead and motivate a diverse team, enabling development and performance.
• Partner with pre-construction to craft winning strategies and mobilise programmes.
• Represent the business to public sector and blue-chip clients, nurturing networks.
