Job summary

DHL Global Forwarding is seeking a proven sales professional to drive profitability and growth in Ocean Freight with some Air Freight exposure. You will win new business, qualify leads, present tailored freight solutions and maintain a strong sales pipeline across the UK market.

You will collaborate with station and product teams, ensure compliant and ethical conduct, and contribute to continuous improvement. 37.5 hours per week with a customer‑facing focus.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the local freight market and competitors.
• 2–3 years in a competitive selling environment in shipping/logistics is desirable.
• Solid understanding of ocean and air freight operations.

Responsibilities

• Identify and close new business wins by targeting customers not currently trading with DHL Global Forwarding.
• Qualify, design and present solutions, handle objections and build customer rapport.
• Maintain a healthy pipeline and report activity to stakeholders (Sales360).
• Collaborate with Trade Lane, Inside Sales and Product teams to maximize opportunities.
