Job summary

thyssenkrupp Elevator is seeking an experienced Lift Service & Callout Engineer to join our South West division, based in Bristol/Devon & Somerset. You will service, repair, and maintain client elevators across the region, planning workloads and responding to emergency breakdowns as needed.

Key requirements include NVQ3 in Lift Engineering or equivalent, a full UK driving licence, and strong communication, organisation, and customer-care skills.

Qualifications

• NVQ3 in Lift Engineering or equivalent qualifications.
• Hold a full UK Driving License and able to travel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• The ability to use your initiative and work well with others.
• Positive attitude and receptive to change.
• Extremely organised.
• Superior customer-care skills.
• The ability to self-assess and take ownership of personal development.
• An advocate for H&S regulations in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and maintaining customer lifts
• Carrying out safety checks and risk assessments
• Planning and managing workload around assigned jobs
• Responding to emergency breakdowns as directed, identify and rectify faults and report any concerns to the Area Service & Repair Manager
• Maintaining stock and ordering supplies through our supply chain
• Recommending parts and equipment that need to be quoted or ordered to keep the lifts compliant
• Out of hours work on a pro rata basis
