Job summary

thyssenkrupp Elevator in Belfast, Northern Ireland, seeks an experienced Lift Service Engineer to service and maintain customer lifts across the region. The role covers safety checks, fault response, and workload planning to keep installations compliant.

Qualifications

• NVQ3 in Lift Engineering or equivalent qualifications.
• Hold a full UK Driving Licence and able to travel
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• The ability to use your initiative and work well with others
• Positive attitude and receptive to change
• Extremely organised
• Superior customer-care skills
• The ability to self-assess and take ownership of personal development
• An advocate for H&S regulations in the workplace

Responsibilities

• Servicing and maintaining customer lifts
• Repairing or replacing lift parts
• Responding to mechanical failures and breakdowns
• Carrying out safety checks and risk assessments
• Planning and managing workload around assigned jobs
• Maintaining van stock and ordering supplies through our supply chain
• Recommending parts and equipment that need to be quoted or ordered to keep the lifts compliant
• Out of hours work on a pro rata basis.
