Job summary

Thyssenkrupp Elevator in Bristol is seeking an experienced Lift Service & Callout Engineer to service, repair and maintain customer lifts across the South West region.

You will plan workload, perform safety checks, respond to breakdowns and work with colleagues to keep lifts compliant and reliable, including out-of-hours on-call as needed. This field-based role covers Bristol/Devon & Somerset with a focus on safety and excellent customer care.

Qualifications

• NVQ3 in Lift Engineering or equivalent qualifications.
• Full UK Driving License and able to travel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to use your initiative and work well with others.
• Positive attitude and receptive to change.
• Extremely organised.
• Superior customer-care skills.
• Self-assess and take ownership of personal development.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and maintaining customer lifts.
• Carrying out safety checks and risk assessments.
• Planning and managing workload around assigned jobs.
• Responding to emergency breakdowns, identifying and rectifying faults, reporting concerns to the Area Service & Repair Manager.
• Maintaining stock and ordering supplies through our supply chain.
• Recommending parts and equipment that need to be quoted or ordered to keep the lifts compliant.
• Out of hours work on a pro rata basis.

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Lift Service & Callout Engineer to join our South West division based in Bristol/Devon & Somerset, who will be responsible for servicing, repairing and maintaining our clients' elevators across their region.

As a Lift Service & Callout Engineer, your day to day will include:

• Servicing and maintaining customer lifts

• Responding to emergency breakdowns as directed, identify and rectify faults and report any concerns to the Area Service & Repair Manager
• Maintaining stock and ordering supplies through our supply chain
