Job summary

Astrea Academy Trust is seeking a Regional Lead Practitioner for Science to support its Cambridgeshire secondary schools while continuing to teach KS4 science. You will work with our Secondary Education Team to deliver a knowledge-rich curriculum through explicit instruction and provide targeted specialist support.

The role emphasizes leadership in curriculum development, teacher mentoring, and driving improvements in student outcomes, while remaining actively involved in classroom teaching.

Qualifications

• Outstanding teacher with proven track record of delivering impact in science education.
• Ability to work with multiple schools to drive improvements.
• Experience delivering high-quality science lessons at KS4 level.

Responsibilities

• Raise achievement in KS4 Science by teaching excellent lessons and providing specialist support.
• Support the design and implementation of a KS4 curriculum.
• Provide subject-specific curriculum expertise to the Secondary Curriculum Team.
• Lead on improving scholar outcomes and teaching standards across trust schools.
