Job summary

Howdens Joinery is seeking an experienced Contracts Installation Manager to oversee kitchen installations across the Bournemouth area. This site-based role involves coordinating on-site teams, managing multiple projects, and ensuring work is delivered safely, on time, and to high standards.

You will lead Howdens-approved fitting teams and subcontractors, conduct pre-start meetings, read drawings, and maintain strong stakeholder relationships with site managers and depot teams.

Qualifications

• Experience managing installations or construction projects on site.
• Background as an Installation Manager, Site Manager, Project Manager, Contracts Supervisor, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of site health and safety requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and site plans.
• Excellent organisational and project coordination skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Customer-focused with high attention to detail.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple live installation projects across the south.
• Lead and coordinate Howdens-approved fitting teams and subcontractors on site.
• Conduct pre-start meetings and set projects up for success from day one.
• Ensure installations meet Howdens' high standards of quality, safety, and customer service.
• Build strong working relationships with Site Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Contracts Managers, and depot teams.
• Monitor progress on site, resolve issues quickly, and keep projects on track.
• Support the National Contracts Installation Manager with the successful delivery of installations across the region.
• Promote a strong health and safety culture across all sites.
