Job summary

Howdens Joinery is seeking a Business Developer to join the depot team in the UK. You will phone and meet with existing trade customers, build relationships, identify opportunities, and help grow spend by understanding customer needs.

You’ll generate leads, arrange appointments and keep the pipeline moving with Kitchen Sales Designers and Territory Sales Representatives. You will be comfortable with targets, self-motivated and organised, and you’ll contribute to depot success through proactive

Qualifications

• Experience in telesales, account management or a customer focused role is helpful.
• Confident communicator on phone and face to face.
• Commercially minded with a focus on driving sales and adding value.

Responsibilities

• Calling existing trade customers to build long term relationships and grow future business.
• Using customer data to spot inactivity and bring accounts back on track.
• Managing a targeted customer list and achieving daily call activity levels.
• Keeping up to date with customer projects to identify opportunities to add value and drive repeat business.
• Arranging surveys and appointments for Kitchen Sales Designers.
• Promoting products, offers and events to keep customers engaged.
• Supporting administration, including invoicing and general depot tasks.
• Working closely with the wider team to help the depot hit its targets and deliver great service.
