Job summary

Linde Material Handling in the Wellingborough area is seeking a Regional Inventory Controller to oversee stock and equipment/asset management for engineer vans and resident sites within the LMH UK Aftersales network, reporting to the Material Planning Lead.

You will coordinate stock checks, interrogate variance data, adjust stock in the system after audits and implement van/site stock adjustments, minimising excess stock across vans and sites.

Qualifications

• Experience with inventory and stock control.
• Full clean driving licence.
• Proficient IT skills and familiarity with MS Excel.
• Proactive, well-organised and professional approach.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, schedule and execute stock checks for all allocated engineers and sites.
• Interrogate stock variance data and ensure all stock is correctly accounted for and losses kept to minimum.
• Adjust stock on system after stock audit results.
• Implement van/site stock adjustments and manage returns with the UK Spare Parts RDC in Basingstoke.
• Minimise excess, aged and redundant stock through rotation, returns and scrapping.
• Complete engineer vehicle, tooling and PPE inspection audits alongside stock check visits.
• Maintain tooling and equipment registers to ensure traceability.
• Coordinate and schedule engineer equipment & tooling inspections, testing and calibration with 3rd party partners.
• Organise replacement tooling in case of inspections/calibration failure.

Exciting Career Opportunity as a Regional Inventory Controller at Linde Material Handling in the Wellingborough area. Reporting to the Material Planning Lead you will oversee the stock and equipment/asset management relating to an allocated number of engineer vans and resident sites within the LMH UK Aftersales network.

• Coordinate, schedule and execute stock checks for all allocated engineers and sites in an efficient manner to minimise engineer downtime
• Interrogate stock variance data and ensure all stock is correctly accounted for and losses posted are kept to absolute minimum.
• Identify and relay any training needs identified for engineers following stock variance investigation to appropriate engineer line manager
• Once stock audit result is formally approved, adjust stock on system based on stock audit results
• Implement van/site stock adjustments based on data prescribed by the Material Planning Lead as well as exceptional mini/bulk returns to the UK Spare Parts RDC in Basingstoke
• Minimising excess, aged and redundant stock held on engineer vans/site through rotation, returns and scrapping processes
• Complete engineer vehicle, tooling and PPE inspection audits in conjunction with stock check visits
• Maintain tooling and equipment registers to ensure all property is traceable
• Coordinate and schedule engineer equipment & tooling inspections, testing and calibration in conjunction with appropriate 3rd party partners
• Organising replacement tooling in the event of inspections/calibration failure via appropriate engineer line management
• Carry out PAT testing on engineer equipment / tooling
• Driving License
