Linde Material Handling, a global leader in forklift trucks and warehouse equipment, is seeking an Area Sales Manager to cover the S postcode area in the UK. You will maximize opportunities, manage relationships, and drive sales of our full range of equipment while collaborating with other departments to maintain service levels and customer retention.

The role focuses on developing new and existing business, meeting volume targets, and delivering accurate quotes and forecasts.

Qualifications

• Direct sales experience (B2B) preferred.
• Capital equipment or engineering background considered.
• Commercially minded with strong business acumen.
• Strong communication, numerical and detail‑oriented abilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain relationships and develop business opportunities with existing customers.
• Hit volume targets, market share and coverage.
• Plan prospecting activities and maintain required sales activity levels.
• Provide accurate weekly forecasts and site surveys when needed.
• Prepare accurate quotes and ensure complete order packs for Sales Admin.
• Present quotes to customers including financing solutions and demonstrate products.

Exciting Career Opportunity as an Area Sales Manager at Linde Material Handling.

About the Role We are currently looking for an experienced Sales Manager to take on the Area Sales Manager role covering the S post code area.

The main focus of the role is to maximise all business opportunities of both new and used trucks by selling the full range of Linde Material Handling equipment to all business types. Working together with other departments, the Area Sales Manager will ensure agreed service levels are maintained and customers retained.

Responsibilities include:

• Maintain relationships and further develop business opportunities with existing customers
• Hit volume targets, market share and coverage
• Day to day planning of prospecting in line with the required levels of sales activity
• Accurate weekly forecast as required
• Identify customer requirements and undertake site surveys
• Produce accurate quote for orders
• Ensure complete and clean order packs are delivered to Sales Administration
• Present quote to customer in an effective manner including financial solutions
• Demonstration of products where appropriate
