Job summary

Linde Material Handling is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service and repair forklift trucks and warehouse equipment across DN and HU postcodes. You will diagnose faults, perform maintenance, and ensure customer sites run smoothly with a strong focus on safety and reliability.

The role offers a competitive salary, optional 40 or 45-hour weeks, shift premiums, and extensive training. A company vehicle and technical support are provided where applicable.

Qualifications

• Experience as a vehicle technician or mechanical engineer, ideally forklift background.
• Must hold a full UK driving licence (Field/Resident Engineers only).
• Comfortable using IT systems to place orders and keep maintenance records.
• NVQ Level 3 qualification preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

Experience with plant equipment, powered access equipment, agricultural machinery, motor vehicles, or industrial cleaners is highly desirable.

In this role, you will engage in a variety of tasks, working with our full range of products, from small pallet trucks to Counterbalance trucks, Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) trucks, and automated trucks. Your responsibilities will include diagnosing and rectifying faults, performing preventative maintenance, and servicing Linde forklifts and other material handling equipment at our customer sites.

Do you have experience in one for the following disciplines, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Hydraulics?

Ideally you will have an NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) qualification, although this is not essential.

We use the latest technology to keep accurate records and place orders, therefore being comfortable using IT equipment is essential.

You will need to hold a full UK driving licence (Field and Resident Engineers only).

As a Linde engineer you will need to be comfortable working autonomously and within a team.

Overtime opportunities - @ time plus on half Monday to Saturday & some bank holidays

Double Time on Sundays and some Bank Holidays
