Job summary

Linde Material Handling in the UK is seeking a Regional Inventory Controller to oversee stock and asset management for engineer vans and resident sites within the LMH UK Aftersales network. Reporting to the Material Planning Lead, you will drive stock accuracy and compliance across multiple sites and coordinate with 3rd party partners for inspections and calibration.

The role requires practical experience in inventory control, a proactive mindset, and strong IT skills.

Qualifications

• Valid driving license is required.
• IT literate with basic computer skills.
• Proactive, self-motivated and organised.
• Personable and professional demeanor.
• Experience with inventory and stock control is desirable.
• SAP and MS Excel skills are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, schedule and execute stock checks for allocated engineers and sites to minimise downtime.
• Interrogate stock variance data and post losses to minimum.
• Identify training needs for engineers after stock variance investigations.
• Adjust stock in the system after formal audit approval.
• Manage van/site stock adjustments and returns to the UK Spare Parts RDC in Basingstoke.
• Minimise excess, aged and redundant stock via rotation, returns and scrapping.
• Complete engineer vehicle, tooling and PPE inspection audits with stock checks.
• Maintain tooling and equipment registers for traceability.
• Coordinate and schedule inspections, testing and calibration with 3rd party partners.
• Organise replacement tooling if inspections/calibration fail.
• Carry out PAT testing on engineer equipment/tooling.
