Job summary

Flogas Britain is seeking a Health & Safety Support Manager to advise on HSE management, drive safety culture and support leaders across regional operations. The role covers distribution, production and manufacturing with a focus on reducing incidents and improving performance.

The ideal candidate holds a NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent, demonstrates strong communication and coaching skills, and is prepared for regular travel and overnight stays. A full driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Technical/professional qualification in NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent
• Knowledge of HSE related legislation and standards
• Knowledge of safety management systems and risk control tools
• Experience delivering improved HSE performance, investigating incidents and near misses to identify root causes and establish corrective actions
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to influence at all levels and coach behavioural improvement
• Strong written and oral communication skills; computer experience with databases, spreadsheets and incident management software
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently while supporting HSE targets
• Able to accommodate flexible hours with regular travel and overnight stays
• Full driving licence

Responsibilities

• Provide health, safety, security and environmental guidance to senior management and colleagues across regions
• Act as point of contact for HSE matters, collaborating with local teams to drive safety and sustainability
• Lead on HSE performance insights and recommendations across the business
• Support alignment with external standards while considering local challenges and cultural change
• Ensure working arrangements meet HSE standards and promote a positive safety culture
• Engage with internal stakeholders, regulatory agencies and external partners to minimise incidents
• Support implementation and monitoring of critical systems ensuring compliance with standards
