Job summary

Environment Bank is seeking a Habitat delivery specialist to lead habitat creation and enhancement projects across the Leicester to St Albans corridor. You will plan and deliver habitat works safely, on-time and within budget, working with ecologists and land managers to deliver woodland, scrub, grassland and wetland schemes.

The role offers hybrid working, regional site visits, and opportunities to contribute to a growing nature network as part of a passionate environmental team.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level in a relevant subject or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of habitat creation/restoration and management.
• Track record of delivering nature recovery projects.
• Experience working within a budget and within set time frames.
• Experience working directly with farmers/landowners in a professional capacity.
• Experience working with contractors.

Responsibilities

• Review ecology design for successful implementation.
• Write or review Habitat Management Plan sections.
• Provide activity schedules to project manager.
• Write specifications for materials for habitat banks.
• Meet contractors on site and manage KPIs.
• Review project plans and contribute to risk registers.
