Job summary

Environment Bank is seeking a Habitat delivery specialist to lead habitat creation and enhancement across the region. You'll work with ecologists, land managers and contractors to plan, budget, and deliver projects safely and on time.

You’ll review ecology designs, contribute to habitat management planning, and coordinate schedules with the project manager while engaging with farmers and landowners. A flexible remote/hybrid setup supports field travel across the M1 corridor.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification in ecology, conservation or a related subject.
• Knowledge of habitat creation/restoration and management.
• Track record delivering nature recovery projects.
• Experience managing budgets and timelines.
• Experience working with farmers/landowners and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Review ecology designs for successful implementation.
• Write or review Habitat Management Plans and Monitoring Plans.
• Provide activity schedules to the project manager for the programme.
• Specify key materials and procurement requirements (seed, fencing, etc.).
• Meet contractors on site, set to work, and monitor KPIs.
• Review Construction Phase Plan and contribute to risk registers.
