Job summary

Harron Homes Ltd is seeking a Group Planner to support planning activity across the North Midlands and Yorkshire. This role offers exposure to the full development lifecycle, from site research to planning applications and conditions, with guidance from the Group Planning Manager and cross-functional teams.

You will develop technical knowledge in planning, engage with Local Planning Authorities and external consultants, and contribute to land appraisals, application coordination, and monitoring

Qualifications

• Strong research and policy analysis capabilities.
• Experience with planning applications and land use policy is advantageous.
• Organised and able to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support planning function across North Midlands and Yorkshire regions.
• Research planning history, policies and land supply to support land appraisals.
• Assist with preparation and coordination of planning applications and pre-application enquires.
• Coordinate discharge of condition applications and track deadlines.
• Monitor live applications and identify risks and delays.
• Review planning decisions, conditions and Section 106 obligations.
• Prepare planning correspondence and site appraisal information.
• Liaise with Local Planning Authorities and consultants on routine matters.
• Coordinate information from different teams to move submissions forward.
• Maintain accurate planning trackers and key dates.
• Assist with amendments and additional planning submissions.
• Attend meetings and site visits when required.
• Take ownership of allocated workstreams and escalate issues.
