Regional Finance Director - Northern Europe (Newry/Manufacturing)

VANRATH are delighted to be partnering exclusively with UNILIN, a global leader in interior design and building solutions, to recruit a Regional Finance Director. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join the senior leadership team of a highly innovative and sustainable manufacturing business, operating at scale across Northern Europe.

The successful candidate will be based at UNILIN's regional HQ in Newry and will play a key role in driving financial strategy, performance, and compliance across multiple jurisdictions. This is a hands-on and strategic leadership role with international exposure.

The Role:

  • Take full ownership of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting across the North-Western Europe region
  • Collaborate closely with the Managing Director and Financial Controller as a key member of the leadership team
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing finance and admin team
  • Deliver timely and accurate management accounts and financial reports
  • Oversee cash flow forecasting and ensure adherence to bank facilities
  • Drive improvements in financial systems, costing, budgeting, and business partnering
  • Ensure full compliance with tax, audit, and regulatory obligations
  • Provide strategic insight and analysis to support commercial and investment decisions
  • Act as a key business partner to all operational teams across multiple regions
  • Manage performance of financial teams across Northern Europe, including remote locations
  • Monitor working capital and drive efficiency across inventory, payables, and receivables
  • Travel as required to sites in Sweden and UNILIN's Head Office in Belgium

About you:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 5+ years post-qualified experience
  • Proven leadership experience in a commercial or manufacturing environment
  • Strong technical knowledge in financial and management accounting
  • Demonstrated experience working with international teams and multiple business units
  • Strategic mindset with a commercial and improvement-driven approach
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Confident communicator, comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and external partners
  • Willing to travel within Europe as required
