Job summary

Adler and Allan Group is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, calibrate and maintain equipment at customer sites across the southern region, including East Sussex. You will work independently or with a team, ensuring high safety standards and quality.

The role involves diagnosing faults, performing preventative maintenance, and documenting work thoroughly. We value hands-on engineers with a driving licence who can travel, stay away from home when required, and mentor junior

Qualifications

• Proven experience in field service, equipment maintenance, or a related technical discipline.
• Strong hands-on, practical skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical problems efficiently.
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities, with capacity to manage multiple priorities.
• Professional communication and people skills, with a genuine commitment to customer satisfaction.
• Full clean UK driving licence.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and in confined spaces.
• Ability to work flexibly, including occasional overnight stays away from home.
• Streetworks certification
• CSCS card
• Confined Space Entry Controller certification (medium risk)
• First Aid at Work certification (3-day course)

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, and maintain equipment onsite with precision and attention to detail, ensuring all work meets stringent quality standards
• Diagnose technical faults and implement effective solutions with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities
• Conduct routine maintenance visits and preventative inspections to maximise equipment performance and customer satisfaction
• Work safely and effectively in confined spaces and challenging environments, adhering rigorously to health and safety protocols
• Communicate professionally and empathetically with customers, providing clear explanations of work undertaken and building long-term relationships
• Mentor and support junior technicians, sharing knowledge and best practices to foster team development
• Maintain comprehensive records of all work completed, including detailed reports and recommendations for future servicing
• Travel flexibly across the designated regions, occasionally staying away from home when required
