Job summary

NHS England is seeking an EPRR Manager to coordinate emergency planning and resilience across the East of England. The post holder will work within a team to lead and deliver EPRR programmes, advise partners, and manage strategic initiatives while ensuring effective multi‑agency collaboration and continuity of services.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver EPRR programmes, projects and strategic initiatives, managing defined elements of the EPRR work programme and portfolio, leading key initiatives, monitoring delivery against plans and milestones.
• Provide expert EPRR advice, guidance and system coordination, maintaining knowledge of national EPRR policy developments and their impact on health and care services, patients and the public.
• Deliver strategic, operational and tactical incident management support, acting as Tactical Advisor during EPRR or UEC Operations incidents and coordinating responses.
• Drive continuous improvement and organisational preparedness, utilising the Core Standards framework to prioritise improvements and support changes in resilience across the region.
• Lead lessons management, debriefs and organisational learning, coordinating post-incident reviews and embedding learning to improve future emergency planning and recovery arrangements.
• Build and maintain effective partnerships with healthcare professionals, local authorities, emergency services, the military, government agencies and the private sector.
• Attend health and multi-agency EPRR groups, providing health liaison and administrative support as required.
