Qualifications

• Must hold Qualified Teacher Status and have a strong track record in secondary English teaching.
• Experience of curriculum leadership and raising standards across schools.
• Expertise in curriculum design, implementation, assessment and evidence-informed practice.
• Ability to build professional relationships and influence colleagues at all levels.
• Committed to collaboration and sustaining improvement through others.
• Excellent communication, coaching and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for English across identified schools and regions.
• Lead the embedding of the Trust's English curriculum and high-quality provision.
• Support schools in raising standards at Key Stage 4, especially English Language and English Literature.
• Build collaborative networks across schools to share expertise and practice.
• Coach and develop English leaders and teachers to build capacity.
• Design and deliver high-quality professional development aligned to priorities.
• Work with Headteachers and the Trust Education Team to identify priorities and evaluate impact.
• Safeguarding responsibilities and welfare of children across the Trust.
