You will work with the Head of English to shape curriculum, drive excellence in student outcomes, mentor colleagues, and contribute to strategic planning in a high-achieving school.

Qualifications

• QTS and English qualification are required.
• Outstanding classroom practitioner with a proven track record of strong student outcomes.
• Leadership potential to support and develop the department.
• Passion for literature, language, and literacy across the curriculum.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Support leadership and management of the English department.
• Deliver engaging English lessons across KS3/KS4; possible KS5.
• Drive improvements in teaching, learning and outcomes.
• Mentor and support colleagues including ECTs and developing teachers.
• Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental innovation.
• Foster a culture of high expectations and academic success.
