Job summary

HISP Multi Academy Trust is seeking a Regional Secondary English Strategy Lead to provide strategic leadership for English across our priority secondary schools and regions. The role combines strategic oversight with a substantial classroom commitment and a focus on improving pupil outcomes.

Qualifications

This role requires QTST and a strong track record of successful secondary English teaching.
Experience in curriculum leadership, school improvement and raising standards is essential.
Ability to build professional relationships and influence colleagues at all levels.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership for English across identified secondary schools and regions.
Lead the implementation of the Trust English curriculum and drive improvement.
Support schools in raising standards at Key Stage 4, especially English Language and Literature.
Coach and develop English leaders and teachers to build sustainable capacity.
Design and deliver high-quality professional development aligned to priorities.
Collaborate with Headteachers and the Trust Education Team to address priorities.
Safeguard responsibilities and promote welfare of all children and young people.
